CleanSpark Awarded $900,000 New Contract to Provide Advanced Microgrid Solution

CLSK

Contract Award to Expand Presence at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

PR Newswire

SALT LAKE CITY, July 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanSpark, Inc. (OTC: CLSK), a microgrid company that is combining a patented "stratified" downdraft gasifier along with advanced engineering, software and controls for innovative distributed energy resource management systems, today announced it has been awarded a $900,000 contract by Bethel-Webcor JV to install a turn-key advanced microgrid system at the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The contract is in direct support of the United States Department of Navy's communication information system (CIS) operations complex that was recently awarded to the Joint-Venture.

Matthew Schultz, Chief Executive Officer of CleanSpark, Inc., commented, "Today's announcement reflects a new level of expansion to our presence within the United States Department of Defense underscoring our commitment to providing innovative and technologically-advanced solutions that address the growing need for clean, reliable energy. Our work at Camp Pendleton has been a cornerstone in the development of our business model, and we are gratified with increased scope and responsibility, for the benefits it provides."

CleanSpark will perform as a sub-contractor to Bethel-Webcor JV, the prime contractor selected for the design and construction of a communication information system (CIS) operations complex spanning multiple facilities with inter-connectivity at the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

CleanSpark first began its work at Camp Pendleton in 2014 when the company was subcontracted to provide design, development, integration and installation services for the FractalGrid at the School of Infantry in the 52 Area of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The initial project included integration of the company's proprietary mPulse software and controls platform with a variety of energy storage technologies to store solar energy generated by existing fixed-tilt solar photovoltaic panels and fifteen dual axis tracking concentrated photovoltaic units. The system provides a 100% renewable and sustainable solution to energy security.

About CleanSpark, Inc.

CleanSpark provides advanced energy software and control technology that enables a plug-and-play enterprise solution to modern energy challenges. Our services consist of intelligent solar monitoring solutions, microgrid design and engineering, project development consulting services, system installation and consulting, and turn-key microgrid implementation services. We also combine our microgrid services with its revolutionary and patented stratified downdraft gasifier. The gasifier was developed to create a logical solution for profitably handling MSW, Coal, Plastics, Municipal Sewage and many other feedstocks. All with ZERO airborne emissions. We've aligned ourselves with research universities such as Utah State University, The University of Utah, and BYU to certify and maximize the efficiencies and production of our technology. By integrating new and existing energy generation and storage assets with advanced load management capacities, CleanSpark's software allows energy generated locally to be shared with other interconnected microgrids. This unique capability enables microgrids to be scaled and widely adopted for commercial, industrial, military, municipal, and remote community deployment.
