PECO Celebrates National Lineworker Appreciation Day
Recognizing the tireless work of PECO field workers to provide safe and reliable energy service to area
customers
In celebration of National Lineworker Appreciation Day, PECO salutes the men and women who work tirelessly, day-in and day-out,
to provide safe and reliable energy services to customers across the region. PECO celebrates more than 1,094 utility workers who
operate and maintain electric and natural gas systems and facilities and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
often in challenging conditions, and on weekends and holidays to keep the lights on and the natural gas flowing for customers.
“We are proud of the men and women who work tirelessly in the field, often as first responders, to bring safe and reliable
electric and natural gas service to our customers,” said Mike Innocenzo, PECO senior vice president and chief operating officer.
“We are deeply impressed and thankful for their tireless service and continued commitment to our customers, no matter what
challenges they may face.”
To honor the nation’s lineworkers, a resolution was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives designating July 10, 2017,
as National Lineworker Appreciation Day. PECO joins utility companies across the nation, including Exelon sister utilities Atlantic
City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power and Pepco, in honoring all utility workers – both on the lines and in the field.
Join utilities nationwide in saying thank you by using the hashtag #thankalineworker on social media. Connect with PECO on
