REBNY Signs Direct Feed Agreement with Move, Inc., Operator of Realtor.com®, New York's Fastest Growing Online Real Estate Website

NWS, NWSA

Realtor.com® becomes first major national online real estate destination to receive REBNY's Residential Listing Service feed

PR Newswire

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Move, Inc., a subsidiary of News Corp [NASDAQ: NWS, NWSA]; [ASX: NWS, NWSLV] and operator of realtor.com®, today announced that the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) has signed a direct agreement to display its Residential Listing Service's (RLS) newly launched, centralized syndication feed on realtor.com®, New York's fastest growing online real estate website. The agreement makes realtor.com® the first major national online real estate website to receive a direct syndicated feed from REBNY, which includes the residential for-sale and rental listings from more than 600 leading New York City residential brokerage firms.

As part of the new relationship, RLS brokerage firms, comprising more than 12,860 agents, will have the option to display their listings on realtor.com® and its mobile apps, including Doorsteps, the rentals only site designed for urban millennial renters, and the Global Property Network, the world's largest online listing site, which generates 200 million monthly unique users across 70 countries. In addition, participating REBNY RLS firms and their agents will receive access to the realtor.com® dashboard, which provides reporting on their listings and leads, the ability to manage their listings on an agent and broker level, and access to realtor.com®'s agent resource center and research portal. RLS brokerage firms should be able to display their listings on realtor.com® and its mobile apps later this month.

"Since we entered the New York market nearly three years ago, we have been fortunate to work with the New York City real estate community to display the majority of the local listings to the growing number of consumers who have made realtor.com® the fastest growing website in the New York City metro," said Ray Picard, realtor.com® executive vice president of sales. "This agreement with REBNY will build on realtor.com®'s growing presence in New York, allowing us to enhance the consumer experience in one of the world's largest real estate markets, and provide more opportunities for agents to engage with the millions of home buyers and sellers who rely on realtor.com® for the most up-to-date and comprehensive listing data."

Picard added, "We're thrilled that REBNY recognizes the value of a direct relationship with realtor.com® and we look forward to demonstrating the many benefits realtor.com® provides to REBNY's members."

Realtor.com® is New York's fastest growing online real estate destination, with unique users increasing an average of 12 percent year-over-year in the first six months of 2017, according to comScore's June 2017 Local Market Report.

"The addition of realtor.com® to RLS syndication is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to increase the visibility and reach of New York City's most accurate and consistent listing information to consumers," said John Banks, REBNY President. "The home buyers, sellers, and renters who utilize realtor.com®'s nationally recognized digital tools, will have greater access to real time listing information provided by the RLS."

Firms that have contacted the Board to indicate that they intend to opt-in and participate in the syndicated feed include, among others: BOND New York, Brown Harris Stevens, Citi Habitats, Compass, The Corcoran Group, CORE, Fox Residential Group, Halstead Property, Leslie J. Garfield & Co., Stribling & Associates, TOWN Residential, and Warburg Realty.

After two years of careful planning, Aug. 1 commenced the rollout of the new REBNY RLS listing syndication service—starting with the opt-in and onboarding process—provided by the REBNY RLS to participating member firms and agents.

About the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the Residential Listing Service (RLS)

The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) is the City's leading real estate trade association with more than 17,000 members professionally involved in and/or engaged with business allied to New York City real estate. Founded in 1896, REBNY is involved in crucial municipal matters and provides for its members: informational, technical, and technological resources; networking and charitable service opportunities; qualifying and continuing education courses; professional education programs, seminars, and designations; career-changing awards; legal advice; and a wide range of additional member benefits.

The REBNY Residential Listing Service (RLS) is a state-of-the-art, RETS compliant system that operates 24/7 and allows for the efficient and timely sharing of exclusive residential listings to all firms and agents who are members of the REBNY Residential Brokerage Division, and non-member firms that receive revenue from the residential sale or rental of residential property located in the jurisdictions authorized by the Residential Board of Directors. Through its new syndication service, RLS firms and agents can easily send residential real estate listings through one centralized feed to a powerful, expanding network of local, national, and international public real estate listing websites. This technology streamlines the process of distributing listings, increases listing visibility, and expands the reach of New York City's most accurate and consistent sale and rental information.
