Heart disease and stroke kill one Canadian every seven minutes, making it a leading cause of death and disability in Canada. To help change this alarming reality, Ride for Heart has raised more than $64M for heart disease and stroke research since 1988. It is a unique opportunity to ride, run or walk on the traffic-free Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway and a great way to help create more survivors of heart disease and stroke.

The addition of walk and run events two years ago has not only grown participation significantly but has also attracted new audiences. From individuals to corporate teams, Canadians can join this important mission and find out more about the Manulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart on rideforheart.ca.

"Manulife is committed to helping Canadians live healthy and active lives so partnering with Heart & Stroke as a title sponsor for Ride for Heart was a natural fit for us. We're excited to support this initiative and encourage people to get on their bikes and lace up their sneakers on June 3 next year," said Peter Wilkinson, ‎Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Public Affairs at ‎Manulife.

"On behalf of Heart & Stroke, I am thrilled to welcome Manulife as the new title sponsor of the Ride for Heart," says Avril Goffredo, CEO, Heart & Stroke, Ontario. "We are very excited to partner with an organization that shares our passion for the health of Canadians and our fight against heart disease and stroke."
