of Urban Solid Waste ("Seminario Internacional Destinacao Adequada dos Residuuos Solidos Urbanos") on November 6th, 2017 at the OAB/DF (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil Seccional Distrito Federal) Headquarters in
Brasilia, Brazil. The Conference was focused primarily on the rapidly growing problem of urban
waste, including innovative solutions to combat the issue.
Brazil is the largest country, by population, in South
America, and it is recognized for being a newly industrialized nation that has taken a lead in environmentally friendly
initiatives. With a large population and rapidly expanding industrialization, waste optimization strategies are being lauded as
