Transeastern Power Trust Reports Third Quarter 2017 Results
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 29, 2017) - Transeastern Power Trust ("Transeastern" or the "Trust")
(TSX VENTURE:TEP.UN)(TSX VENTURE:TEP.DB) has released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2017.
All amounts in this release are expressed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated.
Q3 2017 Highlights
- Produced 18,480 MWh of energy for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 compared to 9,002 MWh in the second quarter of 2016,
an increase of 105% and generated revenue of $3,328,684 from the sale of electricity and green certificates.
- Earned operating margin(1) (revenues less operating expenses) of $2,017,660 for the quarter, an increase of 11%
over the operating margin of $1,823,569 for the third quarter of 2016 (see reconciliation of operating margin under "Non-GAAP
Measures").
- The Trust signed a binding agreement with OMV Petrom for the acquisition of OMV Petrom Wind Power SRL operating the
Dorobantu Wind Project. The net purchase price of the Dorobantu Wind Project is EUR23.0 million. Closing of the acquisition is
subject to various conditions precedent including applicable financing.
