SAN DIEGO, CA --(Marketwired - December 19, 2017) - Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI)
("Envision Solar," or the "Company"), the leading renewably energized EV charging, outdoor media and energy security products
company, announced that it demonstrated the rapid and scalable deployment of its EV ARC™ product equipped with a ChargePoint
Level II, 240v, EV charger for a group of San Diego region government officials.
The demonstration was performed, unrehearsed, at the Company's Taco and Beer event on December 12th in San Diego,
California. In attendance were officials from local cities, counties, universities, airports and other municipal organizations.
The event was specifically coordinated to demonstrate what the Company believes is the fastest and most scalable permanent 240v
Level II charging infrastructure solution. With zero cost of construction and no utility bills, the Company believes that its EV
ARC™ product also delivers the lowest cost of lifetime ownership in many EV charging scenarios.
While grid-tied EV charging infrastructure can take between nine to twelve months to plan, permit, engineer and install,
Envision successfully deployed a ChargePoint charger in eight minutes. Using the ARC Mobility™ transportation solution the EV
ARC™ equipped with a ChargePoint charger was deployed in a parking space in front of the audience during the event. Because the
EV ARC™ product requires no construction or electrical work it is simply lowered into the parking space ready to operate.
"California is going to need thousands of charging locations to service the rapidly growing fleet of EVs on our roads," said
Envision Solar CEO Desmond Wheatley. "We have to have a faster and more efficient method for rapidly scaling the infrastructure
and EV ARC is it. What we do in eight minutes takes months for grid tied solutions and we offer EV charging free of utility bills
and immune to blackouts. We have demonstrated our ability to do this across the US and also internationally. That's American
innovation for you."
EV ARC™ units are already providing EV charging and emergency power capabilities to New York City, CALTRANS and many other
counties and cities in the US. The EV ARC™ product is the only EV charging solution which generates and stores its own
electricity and which is rapidly deployable and transportable. Typical installations take less than 15 minutes. EV ARC™ products
do not require fuel and as such are a more secure source of electricity during prolonged grid outages.
Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and generates enough clean,
solar electricity to power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system's solar electrical generation is enhanced by
EnvisionTrak™ which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is
stored in the EV ARC™ product's energy storage for charging day or night and to provide emergency power during a grid failure.
Because the EV ARC™ product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and
can be moved to a new location with ease. EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the Company's San Diego facility by combat
veterans, the disabled, minorities and other highly talented, mission-driven team members.
