Duos Technologies Awarded Contract to Develop Inspection Technology for US Government Emergency Housing Program
First of its Kind Technology to Aid in Validating Emergency Mobile Housing Units are Manufactured in Compliance with Regulatory
Specifications
JACKSONVILLE, FL --(Marketwired - February 13, 2018) - Duos Technologies Group,
Inc. (OTCQB: DUOT), through its Duos Technologies' subsidiary (Duostech), will be participating in
a pilot program, developing the first of its kind rapid deployment inspection portal validating that emergency mobile housing
units manufactured for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) comply with manufacturing specifications. The ultimate
objective is to verify that the trailers have been manufactured in accordance with established standards and specifications.
Duostech, a provider of intelligent security analytical technology is working in partnership with IBTS, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit
organization. Duostech's proprietary digital inspection technology will enable quality control of the manufactured mobile housing
units prior to deployment in the field. The system, based upon Duostech's advanced imaging technology currently in use for train
and commercial truck inspection, will capture high resolution images from six sides of the trailer and create baseline records
for each trailer. An operator will then conduct a visual comparative analysis for damage and other issues that may arise during
transit to the various emergency destinations.
"Leveraging our experience in the development of many successful, cutting-edge railroad technology systems, we are honored to
be chosen to utilize our intelligent technology platforms for this very important pilot program," stated Gianni Arcaini, the
Company's Chief Executive Officer. "The pilot program will be deployed in two phases, the first phase consisting of a rapid
deployment inspection portal, which includes the acquisition of high definition reference images and the second phase,
development of artificial intelligence algorithms, which will automate the detection of defined anomalies," stated Scott Carns,
the Company's Vice President of Operations.
The system will ultimately utilize redundant, multi-layered sensor technologies combined with Duostech's proprietary
praesidium® analytics software, based on neural network algorithms, that will maximize the reliability and accuracy of track
intrusion detections.
"We feel strongly that our technology will receive high grades and will be instrumental in FEMA's difficult task to produce
high quality emergency housing for people affected by catastrophic events," continued Mr. Arcaini.
