BeWhere Holdings Inc. Announces Appointment of Permanent Chief Financial Officer and Secretary and Provides Update on Mobile World Congress 2018

Toronto, Ontario (FSCwire) - BeWhere Holdings Inc. (TSXV-BEW) (“BeWhere” or the “company”) announces that Mr. Rajiv Khanna has been appointed as the company’s permanent Chief Financial Officer and Secretary superseding Mr. Mark Kohler who graciously held the office on an Interim basis as the company secured a full-time permanent candidate.

Mr. Khanna, a CPA, CMA brings over 33 years of senior executive finance experience across multiple industry sectors; including telematics, business services, manufacturing and consumer packaged goods. Mr. Khanna has particular focus on M&A, acquisition related integration, continuous financial disclosure and IFRS conversions and ERP implementation.

The company would like to thank Mr. Kohler for his dedicated contribution to the company and particularly his enhancement of the company’s internal controls, continuous disclosure and raising awareness and interest in the capital markets. With a successful transition of the office of Chief Financial Officer and Secretary to a permanent replacement we accepted the resignation of Mr. Kohler as Interim CFO and from the Board of Directors. We wish him all the success in his future endeavours.

The company entered 2018 with a strong cash position, growing interest and new product launches.

Mobile World Congress 2018 Update

BeWhere attended the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain from February 24 to March 1, 2018. MWC Barcelona is the largest mobile conference featuring prominent executives representing mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners from across the world. This year, the conference gathered over 100,000 attendees and 2,300 exhibitors from 204 countries.

BeWhere partnered with the GSMA to showcase its innovative Mobile IOT technology in the form of an interactive punching bag (“IoT Punch Boxer”). BeWhere placed one of its new LTE-M device inside the bag and, using the accelerometer, recorded the number of impacts and G-force of each participants that took a turn punching the bag. Data was transmitted to BeWhere’s servers and displayed on its web portal via an LTE-M private network established by Nutaq’s PicoLTE.

The interactive display and the underlying technology was a huge success by all accounts and was highlighted in CNN, ZDNet and Lighthouse media. Videos can be viewed by clicking on the links below. The bag was punched by 460 participants during the 4-day conference and brought thousands of visitors to the IoT booth.

BeWhere attended the show to raise awareness about its new and innovative M-IoT sensors and was able to present the products to some of the largest mobile operators around the world. The response was very positive and demonstrated that BeWhere is one of the very early players with market-ready LTE-M devices; and that there is a very large and untapped market for LPWA devices.
