ARHT Media Holographic Telepresence Technology Showcased at the International Salon and Spa Expo 2018

V.ART.H

TORONTO, March 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ARHT Media Inc. (“ARHT” or “the Company”) (TSXV:ART), a global leader in the development, production and distribution of high quality hologram content through its patented Augmented Reality Holographic Telepresence technology, today announced that the Company’s technology was showcased while working in collaboration with West Coast Beauty Inc. (“West Coast Beauty”) at the International Salon and Spa Expo 2018 (the “Expo”) in Long Beach, California.  The Expo is the largest professional hair care show in the western United States with an estimated 40,000 attendees.

ARHT collaborated with West Coast Beauty on the launch of their new haircare line “Flow.”  During the show, using ARHT’s holographic telepresence technology, Flow’s Director of Brand Education, Melanie Bolton appeared LIVE on stage at the Expo, while interacting with Flow’s Artistic Director Tony Ricci, a former NAHA Winner on stage, as well as engaging the audience and taking their questions, all in real-time. This marked the first time ever that a person in another city appeared LIVE at a trade show in holographic form.

“We were looking for a unique and memorable way to introduce our high end hair care line “Flow” to hair style professionals from all over the west coast, and what could be more unique than the first ever interactive holographic presentation?” said West Coast Beauty owner Carlo LiVolsi.

“As this was the first ever live holoport into a trade show anywhere we commend West Coast Beauty for taking this historic leap.  Stylists were wearing out their cell phones recording the live product specialist, as well as the pre-recorded 3D graphics of the product line that played between presentations,” added ARHT Media CEO Larry O’Reilly.  “We have had many enquiries about using our technology in large scale trade shows and product launches, and the learning gained at this show has proven to be incredibly valuable.”
