Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) shares
gained around 7 percent Tuesday morning after the company announced strong Q1 results late Monday. Netflix beat Q1 sales estimates
and reported higher-than-expected subscriber numbers and issued upbeat Q2 guidance figures.
Arqule Inc (NASDAQ: ARQL) announced it
would license late-stage oncology drug Derazantinib to Basilea Pharma for development and commercialization in the US, EU, Japan
and other regions outside of China. Per the agreement, ArQule will receive a $10 million upfront payment and up to $326 million in
milestones.
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS)
reported strong Q1 results early Tuesday, beating Q1 EPS and sales estimates. The company also raised its quarterly dividend from
75 cents per share to 80 cents per share.
Carvana Co (NYSE: CVNA) announced the
acquisition of augmented reality startup Car360. Carvana paid $6.7 million in cash and issued 930,047 new class A common units to
complete acquisition.
Roku Inc (NASDAQ: ROKU) gained 11
percent Tuesday morning after announcing late Monday that Disney's (NYSE: DIS) ESPN+ direct-to-consumer streaming service will be available on Roku devices.
Shares received an additional boost after Point 72 Asset Management announced a 5.1 percent stake in the company.
