SAN DIEGO, May 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB:EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the
“Company”), the leading renewably energized EV charging, outdoor media and energy security products company, announced the order of
five additional EV ARC™ products placed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation. EV ARC™ units have been successfully
deployed by Parks and are being utilized for workplace charging at the agency’s Bay Area District Office and public charging for
park visitors at Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz. The Department’s second order comes directly following the display of an
EV ARC™ unit at the California State Capitol 3rd Annual AltCar Fleet Conference.
The California Department of Parks and Recreation chose EV ARC™ products because of their ease of installation and the 100%
emissions-free driving delivered by the units using clean solar energy. The additional EV ARC™ units will enable park users,
employees, and fleet vehicles to plug in and drive on sunshine in remote locations and/or where circuit deficiencies exist. The
agency also appreciates the capability to move EV ARC™ EV chargers if necessary to optimize usage.
Envision Solar was honored to attend the California State Capitol 3rd Annual AltCar Fleet Conference this past
Wednesday and expose other state organizations and the general public to the world’s only transportable solar-powered EV charging
solution. The EV ARC™ unit was successful in attracting agencies which are exploring options for their EV charging needs.
“The California Department of Parks and Recreation is the latest government agency to place a follow-on order after having had
great success driving on sunshine with our EV ARCs,” said Envision Solar CEO, Desmond Wheatley. “We are always delighted to receive
repeat orders because we view them as strong validations of our products and business model. We’re looking forward to many
more.”
With over 340 miles of coastline, 970 miles of lake and river frontage, 15,000 campsites, and 4,500 miles of trails, the State
Park System provides wonderful recreational, educational, and inspirational opportunities for over 67 million visitors a
year. As the number of EVs on California’s roads grows, there will be an increasing requirement for the unique benefits
offered by the EV ARC™ off-grid charging solution in these locations. Envision Solar considers Parks and Recreation agencies in
California and across the US as likely areas of continued future growth.
Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and generates enough clean solar electricity to
power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which causes
the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™
product’s energy storage for charging day or night, and to provide emergency power during grid failure. Because the EV ARC™ product
requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location
with ease. EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, individuals with
disabilities, and other minority demographics and highly talented, mission-driven team members.
