MONTREAL, June 15, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The 8th
annual Urban Duathlon, presented by National Bank, took place on June 14. Relocated this year to Square Victoria in
Montreal's business district, the event, which benefits the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation,
raised $245,000 (in net proceeds). The funds raised will go to the CHU Sainte-Justine Centre
of Excellence in Neonatology, which promises to offer a healthy future for all babies.
For the first time, the event's hosting duties were shared by dual spokespersons Alexandra
Diaz and Mathieu Roy , as over 400 participants tore through the streets
of Old Montreal by foot or BIXI bike to take on the relay challenge with colleagues or friends.
Fun was in the air! Numerous runners were decked out in costumes or the Urban Duathlon's official tie and were cheered on by
the crowd and the dynamic host Yannick Marjot.
Alexandra Diaz , known as the host of Télé-Québec's Cuisine futée, parents
pressés was excited to serve as spokesperson for the first time. "I'm really proud to have participated in this unique
event benefiting the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. Over 140 teams ran or rode a BIXI in support of mothers and children

and we need to take every opportunity we can to improve it. Thanks to all of the participants," she stated.

the participants, partners and volunteers, the CHU Sainte-Justine can help an even higher number of children."
