National Bank Presents the Recipients of the Ninth Edition of Women in Financial Markets Internship Program

MONTREAL, July 4, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - National Bank is pleased to announce the winners of the Women in Financial Markets Internship Program for 2018. At a reception to honour the recipients, Denis Girouard, Executive Vice-President – Financial Markets, joined by members of his team, awarded $5,000 to Chanel Matte, Eugenia Turculet and Jaskirat Sahi. The three students also received internship offers to start their careers in National Bank's Financial Markets sector.

  • The winners of this year's internships are enrolled in graduate or undergraduate studies at a Canadian university:
    • Chanel Matte is currently undertaking a Master's degree in Management, Finance specialization at HEC Montréal. She will be doing her internship with the Corporate Treasury team.
    • Eugenia Turculet is currently undertaking a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance specialization at HEC Montréal. She will be doing her internship with the Corporate and Investment Banking group.
    • Jaskirat Sahi is currently undertaking a Bachelor's degree in accounting and financial management at the University of Waterloo. She too will be doing her internship with the Corporate and Investment Banking group.
  • National Bank's internship program derives its strength from the career opportunities it offers women in its organization as well as a mentorship program to give them the support they need to get their career off to a good start.
  • For many years, National Bank has been rolling out a wide range of measures to increase the representation of women throughout the organization.
