LEAT

Team Puerto Rico to Raise Funds in Support of Hurricane Relief

PR Newswire

CAPE TOWN, South Africa, Oct. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leatt Corporation, (OTCQB: LEAT), a leading developer and marketer of protective equipment and ancillary products for a wide variety of sports, especially extreme high-velocity sports, announced today that Ryan Sipes will be one of three riders representing Team Puerto Rico at the 2018 FIM Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, one of the most highly anticipated events of the season.

The 2018 Motocross of Nations will take place on October 6-7, 2018 at Redbud MX, one of the most storied tracks in the history of American pro motocross. RedBud MX is located in Buchanan, Michigan. Mr. Sipes will be outfitted in custom gear from Leatt's new 2019 line during the event.

"Ryan has been a part of the Leatt family for more than a decade," stated Leatt CEO, Sean Macdonald. "We are proud to have him represent our brand on the racing circuit and look forward to watching him compete at this top tier event."

"Racing in the Motocross of Nations is a dream come true and a once in a lifetime opportunity," stated Ryan Sipes. "To be on a team with Travis Pastrana and Kevin Windham, two of the best riders to ever throw a leg over a motorcycle is incredible. The custom set of gear that Leatt created for me fits exactly the way I like it and it looks great too. One thing is certain: we are going to have fun."

Team Puerto Rico will be raising funds through direct donations and merchandise sales during the event. A portion of the proceeds from merchandise sales will be donated to select Puerto Rican organizations designed to provide support to people in need. The organizations receiving funds will be determined in conjunction with the Federación de Motociclismo de Puerto Rico Inc. to ensure the donations make the largest impact possible.
