New state-of-the-art digital planning platform provides simple way to visualize goals and scenarios

TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2018 /CNW/ - BMO Financial Group today introduced BMO WealthPath, an intuitive, digital, goals-based financial planning platform that simplifies the process for financial advisors to identify, set, and help achieve clear financial goals that fit the needs of their clients.

BMO WealthPath – launched in partnership with financial planning solutions global leader Voyant Inc. – is a best-in-class wealth planning platform that allows advisors to create actionable plans by inserting client data and testing the proposed plan through generated scenarios. The end result is a goal-focused plan that helps clients understand why wealth planning is a continuous event.

"Our mission is to redefine the wealth planning experience, moving from a traditional approach to a new way to engage clients in wealth conversations," said Caroline Dabu, Head, Wealth Planning and Advisory Services, BMO Financial Group. "The name says it all – BMO WealthPath is an interactive, easy-to-use tool that enables our advisors to simplify the complexities of planning and be prepared for anything that may come up on the path towards their goals."

Ms. Dabu noted BMO is focused on making the planning process adaptable, personal, and collaborative, especially as customers adapt to digital technology and life's demands become increasingly sophisticated. BMO WealthPath will launch in November to BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisors and Financial Planners in BMO Bank of Montreal branches across Canada.

The smartphone and tablet-friendly interactive digital platform is a result of BMO's partnership with Voyant – the first Canadian financial institution to partner with the software leader. Founded in 2008, Voyant's solutions emphasize interactive visualizations and sophisticated technology that simplify the wealth planning process.

"We're excited to be partnering with a group as innovative as BMO," said David Kaufman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Voyant Inc. "We've had great success with similarly forward-thinking organizations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. WealthPath's vision shows that BMO is not just a financial solutions leader, but a true pioneer in the industry."

More than a tool, BMO WealthPath allows clients the ability to achieve their vision – and empowers BMO frontline professionals to create solutions that will help Canadians become confident in financial planning.
