Technology that makes renovating easier
MONTREAL, Oct. 25, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Smart Reno is pleased to
announce that it has signed a long-term agreement with Lowe's Canada and that both parties
joined forces to enhance home improvement and installation services for homeowners across Canada. Smart Reno created a software platform that is now deployed in all Lowe's Canada corporate stores operating under the Lowe's, RONA and Reno-Depot banners, as well as in some RONA
affiliated dealer stores. This software allows to manage requests for installation services in a more seamless manner, both
in-store and online. The Smart Reno software platform greatly improves the management and follow-up of projects for Lowe's
Canada, their installation services contractors, and most importantly the homeowner. It provides
an extensive set of features that allows for better and more efficient progress tracking of installation projects, while keeping
all parties involved every step of the way and informed in a proactive manner.
Today marks the completion of the software roll-out in all Lowe's Canada corporate stores.
The system now handles hundreds of thousands of projects, by thousands of employees in close to 400 stores. "Our teams worked
together to come up with the best software," said Andrei Uglar, CEO and Founder of Smart Reno.
This partnership is a natural fit between the home improvement retail giant and Smart Reno, the leading marketplace in the
Canadian renovation field. We all know renovations can be stressful. Smart Reno's state-of-the-art software allows us to better
serve our clients while increasing our own operational efficiency. This is why we now handle a large number of our installation
requests using this system," says David Stern, Vice President of Installation & Home Services
at Lowe's Canada. "We are also proud to partner with a Canadian company," he adds.
Lowe's, RONA and Reno-Depot customers across the country now have access to Smart Reno's verified network of trusted
contractors to execute their projects. The expertise of both organizations will be leveraged based on the type of work requested,
providing a more complete service offering to clients.
"We are very proud of the support and trust we earned from Lowe's Canada. Our ecosystems
complement each other, and we strongly believe that this partnership will benefit homeowners and contractors," added Andrei Uglar.
When Technology and Renovation Come Together
Launched in 2012, Smart Reno quickly became the leading Canadian platform helping people find trusted contractors and compare
quotes for their renovation projects. By filling out one simple form, homeowners are being recommended several contractors via an
algorithm that identifies the best qualified contractors available in their specific region.
Smart Reno raised multiple financing rounds from top-tier investors, fuelling its ability to consolidate the market with two
acquisitions and multiple partnerships, creating an ecosystem that makes the entire renovation process more efficient and less
costly, for both homeowners and contractors.
For several months now, Smart Reno also offers a unique, user-friendly and free tool allowing people to get a quick estimate
of how much a renovation project would cost. This tool covers many renovation projects such as: kitchen, bathroom, paint,
roofing, doors, windows and much more.
