Mercer Promotes Louis Gagnon to US & Canada Region President

Jaqui Parchment, Toronto Office Leader, named Canada CEO

Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and career, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), announced two key leadership appointments: Louis Gagnon, Mercer’s former Canada CEO, to US & Canada Region President, with Jaqui Parchment, Toronto Office Leader, as his successor. In his new role, Louis Gagnon reports to Martine Ferland, Group President, and joins the Mercer Global Executive Leadership team. He will be based in New York.

As Region President, Mr. Gagnon will focus on driving innovation and accelerated growth in Mercer’s US & Canada region. He will partner closely with Ms. Ferland and Mercer’s Executive Leadership team to execute and evolve Mercer’s future-focused global growth strategy.

“A thriving US and Canada region is crucial to our overall performance as a firm, and Louis’s extensive experience makes him ideal for this position,” said Ms. Ferland. “His proven success in commercializing new solutions, inspiring colleagues and driving profitable growth will ensure that we are bringing our innovative thinking and full capabilities to clients.”

Before his role as CEO, Canada, Mr. Gagnon held several leadership positions in the US, in addition to numerous global sales and innovation roles in Wealth. A 30-year Mercer veteran, he has also been instrumental in the creation and go-to-market of several new offerings, including Mercer Pension Risk Exchange, Mercer Worklife and Mercer Financial Wellness.

Mr. Gagnon’s successor, Jaqui Parchment, will assume her new role effective immediately. Reporting to Mr. Gagnon, Ms. Parchment will focus on driving client value and leading the go-to-market strategy in Canada, one of Mercer’s largest geographies.

As leader of one of Mercer’s flagship offices, Ms. Parchment has proven success delivering on client needs across the Health, Wealth and Career spectrum. Previously, she led the Canada Investments business and served as a client manager for numerous local and multinational clients, providing her extensive experience in Mercer’s portfolio across lines of business.

“Jaqui’s leadership, grounded in her significant experience across our business, will position our team for continued success in Canada,” said Mr. Gagnon. “Her track record of anticipating and meeting diverse client needs will ensure we continue to delight our clients with our full suite of ideas and solutions.”
