Ventripoint Receives CE Mark for Clinical Use of VMS+ 3.0 Whole-Heart Analysis System

V.VPT

(via TheNewswire)

Toronto, Ontario, - TheNewswire - July 2, 2019 - Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd. ("Ventripoint" or the "Company", TSXV:VPT, OTCQB:VPTDF) is pleased to announce that they have received CE Mark for the VMS+ 3.0 system allowing it to be sold for clinical use throughout the European Union and other CE Mark countries. The VMS+ system can be used for all four chambers of the patient's heart to obtain volumetric measurements and is a valuable tool for clinicians when diagnosing patients with cardiac problems.

"Europe is a major market for the VMS+ 3.0 system, and we believe this release will further establish the VMS+ technology as a critical addition to the imaging environment. We look forward to having our next-generation system in hospitals and cardiac centres across Europe and are actively sourcing distribution partners to expand the global availability," notes Dr. George Adams, Ventripoint's CEO.

The VMS+ 3.0 is a cost-effective cardiac diagnostic tool measuring whole-heart function in pediatrics and adults with accuracy comparable to the gold-standard MRI. The new smaller footprint allows for superior integration into the existing echocardiography workflow, and the system is intuitive and easy to use. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women worldwide and having a non-invasive system to obtain volume and ejection fractions for all 4 chambers of the heart is essential for patient care.

The VMS+ 3.0 system is now commercially available in Canada and Europe. The system is for investigational use in the United States and pending pre-market 510K clearance by the FDA.

The VMS+ is the first cost-effective and accurate AI tool for measuring whole heart function using conventional ultrasound. The Company has developed a suite of applications for all major heart diseases and is actively commercializing the approach to improve cardiac care.
