W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) today announced that Ira S. Lederman will step down from the positions of executive vice president and secretary effective June 1, 2020. He will continue as Of Counsel and assistant secretary.
Mr. Lederman has had an outstanding 40-plus-year legal career, the preponderance of which has been spent in the property casualty insurance industry, holding various senior positions within W. R. Berkley Corporation. He joined the Company in 1983 as associate counsel and was appointed senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary in 2001. In 2015, he was named to the position of executive vice president with oversight of the Company’s legal, compliance, claims and other administrative functions.
