Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - October 25, 2023) - The Canadian Securities Exchange ("CSE" or "the Exchange") today announced market statistics for September 2023.
September 2023 Operating Statistics
- Trading volume of CSE-listed securities totaled 1.18 billion shares;
- Trading value of CSE-listed securities was $694 million;
- CSE issuers completed 61 financings that raised an aggregate $39 million; and
- The CSE welcomed listings from five new companies, bringing total listed securities to 825 as at September 30, 2023.
"Even though funding and secondary market liquidity conditions are challenging, the Canadian Securities Exchange continues to attract entrepreneurs from a wide variety of industries," said Richard Carleton, CEO of the CSE. September was an extremely busy month for the CSE team, as it participated in several conferences featuring its issuers: the Planet MicroCap Showcase in Vancouver, the Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek in Colorado, the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago, and International Deal Gateway's Family Office Showcase in London, England. In addition, Richard Carleton spoke on a webinar entitled Crowdfunding to an IPO, which discussed the process of raising growth capital online in order to become a publicly traded firm.
The CSE is pleased to be sponsoring the Red Cloud Fall Mining Showcase 2023, taking place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel on November 7-8. The event features presentations from more than 100 emerging mining companies, as well as keynote speeches from high-profile leaders in the sector including Frank Giustra and Rob McEwen. The conference also offers one-on-one meetings and networking sessions.
