TORONTO, Oct. 30, 2023 /CNW/ - For the ninth consecutive year, Manulife will plant more than 12,000 Canadian flags on the front lawn of its global headquarters to recognize and pay tribute to members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) ahead of Remembrance Day. Each flag represents ten military personnel who have lost their lives in wartime or peacekeeping missions.
Manulife Canada President and CEO, Naveed Irshad, will be hosting a service of remembrance for colleagues on November 1, 2023. Manulife President and CEO, Roy Gory will also be in attendance to recognize and honour the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice and honour those who continue to serve.
Manulife continues to support the Royal Canadian Legion by encouraging colleagues to purchase a traditional Poppy from members of the Legion in their communities, or a digital Poppy which can be shared with family and friends through social media. Manulife will also be making a corporate donation to the Legion's National Poppy Campaign.
Media are welcome to capture images and/or video of the flag display between November 2 and November 10. The flag garden will remain on display until sundown on November 11.
