Senior Vice President of Risk, Process and Performance for Pathward’s Banking as a Service business line Earns Recognition as One of the Financial Services Industry’s Top-Performing Senior Executives

Pathward®, N.A., one of the nation’s leading financial empowerment companies driven by its purpose to power financial inclusion, today announced that its Senior Vice President of Risk, Process and Performance for its Banking as a Service business line, Nichole Price, has been named to American Banker's 2024 list of The Most Influential Women in Payments.

The award celebrates senior executives guiding the future of the global payments industry, while also examining topics of leadership, mentorship and inclusion. American Banker will celebrate those who earn a spot on the 2024 list during its annual Payments Forum, taking place later this month in Hollywood, Florida.

“The payments industry is intricate and dynamic. Successful leaders need more than a keen understanding of the current landscape — they need an eye for innovation and the ability to be agile in both thinking and execution,” says Daniel Wolfe, Content Director of Payments and Credit Unions at American Banker. “These women embody the resilience, savvy and shrewdness it takes to lead, and their accomplishments are nothing short of remarkable.”

“Nichole is one of the hardest workers I know and a phenomenal leader. She’s incredibly smart and talented, but what makes her stand out is her humility and her empathic approach to leadership,” said Banking as a Service Divisional President Will Sowell. “Pathward’s strong stance on risk and compliance are market differentiators, and the work Nichole and her team do is an integral element of our winning formula. I’m proud of Nichole and am so grateful she is a part of the Pathward team and appreciate American Banker for recognizing her on a national platform.”

Price joined Pathward in 2015 and brings 27 years’ experience in financial institutions to the company. She is a licensed certified public accountant and has been in her current role since July 2023. Her team oversees pricing on all deals that flow through the business, budget and forecasting, risk and opportunities quantified for the business, compliance and regulatory issues and much more for the banking as a service business line.

“It’s an exciting time to be working in the payments industry and banking as a service ecosystem, and working for a company focused on financial inclusion makes the work we do even more meaningful,” said Price. “The work in itself is rewarding, and being recognized by American Banker is truly an honor.”
