Copper Lake Resources (CPL) updates on its Marshall Lake property in northwestern Ontario.

The company said it has recently completed its winter exploration program, which included diamond drilling and bore-hole electromagnetic (EM) surveys.

In total, eight holes were drilled comprising 4,062 metres.

Six of the holes tested the Deep EM target for 3,558 metres and the remaining two holes tested the Deeds Island target for 504 metres.

Notably, highlights from the Deep EM target include:

  • The Deep EM target are intercepts of disseminated, banded and stringer pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrrhotite hosted within strongly altered lapilli tuff and volcanoclastic rocks, in drill holes MAR-23-01, MAR-23-02 and MAR-23-03
  • These mineralized intervals are associated with strong chlorite, biotite, garnet and silicic alteration.
  • Holes MAR-23-06 and MAR-23-07 tested the northern extent of the Deep EM target and intersected weaker and thinner zones of mineralization and alteration

Highlights from the Deeds Island target include:

  • The first hole, MAR-23-04, tested a residual gravity anomaly associated with a surface zinc geochemical anomaly and strong garnet-actinolite alteration
  • It intersected a 75-metre-wide garnet-actinolite alteration zone with disseminated pyrrhotite and pyrite within felsic fragmental rocks
  • MAR-23-05 tested an airborne VTEM conducted and associated gravity anomaly

The Marshall Lake property spans an area of 220 square kilometres located north of Geraldton, Ontario. The company has a 79.45 per cent interest in the joint ventured property which includes 233 claims and 52 mining leases.

Shares of Copper Lake Resources (CPL) are down 6.67 per cent to C$0.07 as of 9:32 a.m. EDT.
