Deep-South Resources Inc. (TSXV:DSM) has received the assay results from soil sampling on its Luanshya West project in Zambia.
Ten copper soil anomalies were defined with peak a value of 634 parts per million (ppm) copper, and 13 cobalt soil anomalies have been defined with a peak value of 558 ppm cobalt in leached soil regimes.
The Luanshya West project is situated in the Zambian copper belt 29 kilometres west of the Luanshya Copper Cobalt mine. The licence area covers 54.24 square kilometres.
In a news release, the Deep-South Resources President and CEO Pierre Léveillé called these results exciting as they enabled the delineation of several large copper and cobalt anomalies.
“These results compare favorably to current and past mines on the Copperbelt which have held thresholds in the range of 50 ppm to 150 ppm, averaging 80 ppm copper and peak values in the range of 100 ppm to 450 ppm copper. We are currently planning further work on the project,” Léveillé said in a statement.
The results are being analyzed in detail to plan further exploration work on the project.
