Solis Minerals (TSXV:SLMN) has announced it has intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite at its Jaguar Lithium Project in Brazil.
In a press release, the company said its maiden drilling intersected shallow-dipping coarse spodumene-rich pegmatites in two initial diamond drill holes.
With headquarters out of Vancouver, Solis Minerals is a battery metals-focused mining exploration company and owns 100 per cent interest in the Borborema Lithium Project in Brazil.
The first hole, JADDH00002 intersected 52 metres of pegmatite with 8.2 metres of spodumene-rich quartz bearing in a central core area from 32 metres downhole.
Meanwhile, JADDH00003 intersected 39.3 metres of pegmatite with 7.9 metres of spodumene-rich quartz in a central core area from 44.3 metres downhole
“As we extend our mapping and geochemical sampling programmes, we are finding evidence of a potential stacked pegmatite system. Multiple spodumene-bearing float samples have been collected up to 1 kilometre from the central Jaguar artisanal mine area and large outcropping pegmatites, which are completely untested, have been located,” Matt Boyes, executive director of Solis Minerals, said in a statement.
The company added that diamond drilling at the projected continues, with three drill holes now completed.
Shares of Solis Minerals are down 53.80 per cent to C$0.37 as of 12:23 p.m. ET.
