The company also discovered abundant visible gold (more than 20 individual grains) in an outcropping with a 10 cm quartz vein within carbonate alteration halo within the Gold Run target area. Numerous, potentially gold-mineralized outcropping quartz veins with coarse pyrite, were also discovered locally within the Dominion target area.

Drilling is anticipated to begin Aug. 1, initially testing the Gold Run target.

Klondike Gold’s president and CEO, Peter Tallman, said in a news release that the team has made three recent discoveries of gold in outcrop after implementation of several new science-based upgrades to its exploration models.

“It is very exciting and energizing to screen drill targets with prospecting and mapping and find visible gold in outcrop in each of them, distributed over the 50 km strike length of the property. We are all looking forward to getting the drill program underway,” Tallman said in a statement.

Klondike Gold Corp. is a Vancouver-based gold exploration company advancing its 100 per cent owned Klondike District Gold Project at Dawson City, Yukon, one of the top mining jurisdictions in the world.

Klondike Gold Corp. opened trading at $0.085 per share.
