Western Star Resources closes Mount Anderson Property purchase

Western Star Resources (CSE:WSR) announced it has officially closed the acquisition of the Mount Anderson Property in the Yukon Territory.

In a news release, the company stated the property includes 163 contiguous quartz claims spanning 30 square kilometres and sits roughly 60 kilometres south of Whitehorse.

The Mount Anderson Property also includes two intrusive bodies – the Early Jurrasic Bennett Granite and the Early-mid Cretaceous Whitehorse Intrusive suite.

Blake Morgan, CEO of Western Star Resources, said in a statement that assay results from a grab sample were previously collected in 2017, indicating 67.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold, 2,058 g/t silver, 10 per cent lead, 9.44 per cent zinc and 9.84 per cent copper.

“The team is thrilled to get started on this road-accessible and drill-ready asset. The company plans to have more news regarding the property shortly,” Morgan said.

Under the terms of the acquisition, Western Star Resources will issue 1 million common shares in its capital to the sellers and grant a 1 per cent net smelter return royalty related to commercial production of the property.

Western Star Resources is a mineral exploration and development company that has nine non-surveyed contiguous mineral claims spanning 2,797 hectares within the Revelstoke mining division of British Columbia.

Shares of Western Star Resources are up 3.45 per cent to C$0.15 as of 9:38 am ET.
