Scotch Creek Ventures (CSE:SCV) has completed its soil sampling program at the Miranda Project in Nevada.
In a news release, the company said that the program at its 5,360 acre project included collecting 69 sample points and covered strategic locations across the Miranda Project.
Scotch Creek added that the program’s objective was to collect geological data to assist the company with its understanding of the project’s mineralization potential.
“We commenced our initial surface exploration efforts with soil sampling. We concentrated our activities on the southern part of the property, where we encountered pale orange siltstones beneath a thin layer of gravel. During the survey, we identified salt-bearing zones at two distinct locations,” Robert D. Marvin, Scotch Creek’s qualified person, said in a statement. “These sites revealed well-developed, carbonate-rich silty claystone on the surface, yet the full extent of these salty zones remains obscured by the surrounding gravel cover.”
Located in Jackson Valley which has similar characteristics to Clayton Valley, the Miranda Project is close to known lithium deposits.
The company said it will continue building on the soil sampling program as it moves towards exploration and development at the Miranda Project.
Scotch Creek is focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of lithium projects located in tier-one mining jurisdictions such as Nevada.
Shares of Scotch Creek are unchanged at C$0.06.
