The basic C$20 a month plan, Stream+ Basic provides Netflix Standard with ads, Disney+ Standard with ads, and Prime Video.

The Stream+ Premium bundle goes for C$38 a month and includes Netflix Premium, Disney+ Premium and Prime Video.

Just when you thought you could cut the cord on traditional cable packages, they are back again. Telus’ senior vice president, mobility and home products and transformation, Dwayne Benefield, touted the savings the package provides in this era of multiple streaming options.

“And in the coming months, Stream+ will be further enhanced to give Canadians the ability to fully customize their entertainment experience by adding other streaming service providers to their bundle to enjoy even more savings,” he said in a statement.

Independently, Netflix’s standard with ads package is advertised at C$5.99 a month, while its standard offering is C$16.49 and the premium package is C$20.99 a month, all before tax.

There are also media reports that Amazon will cut hundreds of staff in its Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios division.

With its headquarters out of Greater Vancouver, Telus Corp. designs, builds, and delivers a wide range of solutions, including AI and content moderation, for global and disruptive brands across strategic industry verticals, including tech and games, communications and media, e-commerce and fintech, banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare and others.
