Jones Soda’s (CSE:JSDA) cannabis brand Mary Jones has expanded into the hemp delta-9 (HD9) market with the launch of its hemp-derived THC-infused craft sodas.
In a news release, the company explained the Mary Jones HD9-infused craft sodas have been created with the same formluation as Jones Sodas but have been adapted for HDP with lab-tested THC derived from hemp.
Sold in 12-ounce cans with 2.5, 5, or 10 milligrams of low-dose hemp THC, the sodas come in the company’s traditional flavours such as root beer, orange and cream, green apple and berry lemonade.
It is expected that additional flavours will be launched over the course of 2024.
“There’s a great evolution happening among today’s consumers and retailers. They are adapting to legal cannabis and THC products, whether low-dose hemp-derived delta-9 or traditional higher dosed THC options via state regulated markets,” David Knight, CEO of Jones Soda, said in a statement.
In addition to the THC hemp-derived sodas, Mary Jones has also launched a direct-to-consumer e-commerce store for Mary Jones HD9 product. Products are available to ship in all states except Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Idaho and Oregon because of state regulations
The Mary Jones HD9 sodas are also available at retail in six markets including Massachusetts, Florida, Ohio, Minnesota, Alabama and Southern California with more to come.
With its headquarters out of Seattle, Washington, Jones Soda is a craft soda manufacturer with its Mary Jones subsidiary focused on distributing cannabis products.
The company’s mainstream soda line is sold across North America in glass bottles and cans as well as fountain and slush machines in traditional beverage outlets and restaurants.
