Lincoln Gold Mining (TSXV:LMG) has begun core sample analysis from its 2021 drilling program from the Pine Grove Project in Nevada.

The company stated Tuesday in a news release that the program took place on the Wilson deposit and the analysis will determine Lincoln Gold’s strategy to expand resources and evaluate the potential for future development at the property.

“We’re excited to advance our work at Pine Grove, a project with significant upside,” Paul Saxton, president and CEO of Lincoln Gold, said in a statement. “The core sample analysis and subsequent exploration efforts are crucial to unlocking the full potential of this high-grade gold project. With our strategic approach and the expertise we’ve brought on board, including … (geologist Reid) Yano, we are well-positioned to drive this project forward.”

Roughly 275 drill holes were previously completed and an NI 43-101 report was filed back in early 2015.

Now, it is expected the company will receive full permitting approval within the next 12-to-16 months.

As it currently stands, the property has measured and indicated resources equivalent to 210,962 ounces of gold and boasts one of Nevada’s highest reserve gold rates at 1.23 grams per ton.

With headquarters in Vancouver, Lincoln Gold Mining holds a 100 per cent interest in the Pine Grove gold project.

Shares of Lincoln Gold Mining (TSXV:LMG) are down 1.96 per cent to C$0.25 as of 9:30 am ET.
