GMV Minerals (TSXV:GMV) reveals that it has begun drilling at its Daisy Creek lithium/uranium project in Nevada.

In a news release, the company stated that it has enlisted Harris Exploration Drilling and Associates, a Nevada-based company, to begin the initial drill program.

The Daisy Creek Lithium Project is ideally located in Lander County, north-central Nevada and consists of 82 lode claims, which are near several operating gold mines and access to power and water with paved highways nearby.

“We are pleased to be drill testing the Daisy Creek project and to be doing so with Harris Exploration, a highly reputable and experienced company that is very familiar with this type of geology,” Ian Klassen, GMV Minerals president, said in a statement.

The initial reverse circulation program will be roughly six holes from six different setups for a total of 3,500 feet. The program intends to test the most prospective lithium targets as defined by the most recent geophysical, fieldwork and historical information.

GMV Minerals has an option to earn a 100 per cent interest in the previously drilled high-grade Daisy Creek lithium project.

The Vancouver-based company is also focused on developing precious metal assets in Arizona. Through its 100 per cent owned subsidiary, the company has a 100 per cent interest in a mining property lease known as the Mexican Hat Property in Cochise County, Arizona.

Shares of GMV Minerals Inc. (TSXV:GMV) are unchanged at C$0.12.
