Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ) is gearing up to begin exploration at its Harriman Antimony Property in Quebec.

In a news release, the company stated the program will start the week of Sept. 16. Roughly 17 kilometres northeast of New Richmond in the Gaspé Region of Quebec, the project includes about 49 mineral claims across 2,500 hectares.

“Hertz Energy’s Harriman project is well-located and high-grade. Hertz is laser-focused on deploying our capital and talented geological team to quickly develop the antimony potential at our Harriman Antimony project,” Kal Malhi, CEO of Hertz Energy, said in a statement.

The company will begin mobilizing its team of geologists and technicians to conduct mapping and prospecting and will focus on an area with favourable geology and historic showings that also has a prospect for new antimony and gold showings.

Hertz also aims to identify drill targets and initiate drilling to define an economic antimony deposit.

The Vancouver-based company revealed it entered into an option to acquire the Harriman Antimony property on Sept. 6. The property was developed by compiling and reviewing historic antimony and gold showings from the Quebec government geoscientific database called SIGEOM.

Additionally, the property area was also defined by a series of four antimony showings that are hosted along a northeast-trending fault structure with historic showings including 2.32 per cent antimony (Sb), 3.36 grams per ton (g/t) gold, 43.75 per cent sb, 3.4 g/t gold, 4.8 per cent Sb, 7.89 g/t gold and 15.35 per cent Sb.

Hertz Energy is a junior exploration company focused on the acquisition and exploration of energy metals and mineral properties. Its lithium exploration projects include the AC/DC Lithium Project and Snake Lithium Project in James Bay, Québec.

Shares of Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ) are up 6.25 per cent, trading at C$0.085 as of 10:40 am ET.
