Probe Gold (TSX:PRB) reveals it has filed national instrument 43-101 technical reports for its properties in Quebec.

The company highlighted in a news release an increase in its gold resources with a 77 per cent boost in measured and indicated resources and a 131 per cent increase in inferred resources at the Val d’Or East properties.

At the Novador Project, resources total 6.4 million ounces in measured and indicated resources and 1.5 million ounces in inferred at Monique, Pascalis, Courvan and Beaufor deposits, representing a 60 per cent increase from last year.

Notably, Probe Gold revealed the properties have open pit potential as more than 82 per cent of the gold resources is within open-pit constrained resources that show strong near-surface growth potential.

As it currently stands, a 50,000-metre infill drill program is underway, while permitting is advancing with its guidelines submitted for a phase two program to the government of Quebec.

Probe Gold has been consolidating its land position in the Val-D’Or East region of Quebec since 2016 and boasts a district land-scale package of 685 square kilometres. This represents one of the largest land holdings in the area.

The Novador Project is host to four past-producing mines and includes 80 per cent of the company’s gold resources in the Val-d’Or East region.

Probe Gold is focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing highly prospective gold properties, including its 100 per cent flagship Novador Gold Project in Quebec and the early-stage Detour Gold Quebec project.

Shares of Probe Gold (TSX:PRB) are up 3.51 per cent to C$1.77 as of 10:22 am ET.
