Else Nutrition (TSX:BABY), a plant-based stock, is making a play for the adult nutrition market with the launch of a new version of its ready-to-drink shakes in the U.S. and Canada.
According to Tuesday’s news release, the new product is “the first and only whole-food, plant-powered, complete nutrition drink for adults,” optimally positioning the company to capture share in the over US$10 billion North American dairy alternatives market and benefit from the proven benefits of a plant-based diet.
Else’s ready-to-drink shakes for adults are made with whole-food, dairy-free ingredients, including almond butter, sunflower protein flour and buckwheat flour, with each serving providing:
- 280 calories and 14 grams of plant protein.
- Natural fiber, healthy carbohydrates and unsaturated fats, with no cholesterol and low saturated fat.
- 26 essential vitamins and minerals tailored to adult health.
- 50 per cent less sugar than leading competitors with no artificial sweeteners.
- A Clean Label Project-certified product.
The shakes are available now on Amazon.ca, as well as in select retail locations, and will launch in the U.S. in Q2 2025. Else is actively expanding the product line through ongoing flavor development.
