Reservoir Minerals Inc.’s (TSX: V.RMC, Stock Forum) first hole started at 600 metres depth,” writes twinturbo in the Barisan Gold Corp. (TSX: V.BG, Stock Forum) post. On July 16, 2012 Reservoir Minerals reported that it had drilled 266 metres grading 1.23% copper equivalent at the Timok project in eastern Serbia. Today, Reservoir Minerals is working with Freeport-McMoran Exploration Corp. (FMEC) in a joint venture on the Timok project covering 245 square kilometres of prospective geology. Freeport has exercised its option to sole fund all exploration work to the completion of a bankable feasibility study at the Timok project, and is the operator of the project. Exploration on the Timok project led to the discovery of a significant copper-gold high sulphidation and porphyry copper-gold mineralisation at the Cukaru Peki prospect. Drill hole intersections include 291.3 metres of 7.17% copper equivalent; average 5.13% copper and 3.4 grams per tonne gold.

By comparison, twinturbo pointed out “Barisan intersected mineralisation at “18 metres depth and was on the edge.” Barisan intersects 262 Metres Of 1.0% copper equivalent in hole Utd-003 at its Upper Tengkereng prospect, located in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia.

“UTD-003 has significantly increased the width of mineralisation along a southeast-northwest direction on the north-eastern edge of the system, further validating the mineralisation intersected in UTD-002,” wrote twinturbo.

Furthermore, twinturbo added “Colorado Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.CXO, Stock Forum) drilled 242 metres of 0.632% copper and 0.85 grams per tonne gold in its first drillhole on its North ROK property” in northwest British Columbia. Colorado is currently completing Phase III drill program on the North ROK property in order to gather as much drill data as possible prior to winter conditions setting in. So far on the project, Colorado has intersected significant copper - gold porphyry alteration and mineralisation in 11 drill holes over a 500 metres strike length.

Blogger stockwrestler notes that “with the inevitable inflation that is to arise in this 21st century, one should hold a diversity of assets. Listed here are a number of "beaten down" mostly PM (precious metals) stocks that can be owned with only a small outlay of cash. These are risky "venture" stocks to be held only in the very speculative part of a portfolio.
