Welcome to a special “4/20” edition of Buzz on the Bullboards!

Stockhouse has worked hard over recent months and years to bring the Stockhouse Community the most and best information on the emerging cannabis sector – to help you be more successful in your investing. Recently, we asked you for some information.

We wanted to take the pulse of investor sentiment on the Canadian cannabis sector. With Stockhouse being Canada’s # 1 portal for small-cap investing, there was no better place to go for this information than our own audience.

As cannabis valuations have been trending sideways-to-lower over the past month or so, gauging investor sentiment is particularly interesting at the present time. Without further ado, here is what you told us about the cannabis sector today.

Given the general turbulence in markets over the past several weeks, Canadian cannabis investors remain relatively optimistic about the cannabis space (60% of decided voters) on 4/20, 2018. Where is such optimism currently focused at Stockhouse?

The top two names on this week’s cannabis Bullboard leaders will be no surprise at all to any Stockhouse reader who tuned-in to last week’s edition of Buzz on the Bullboards: Big News With ACB and ISOL.

Last week, we reported that Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX: ACB, OTCQB: ACBFF, Forum) had just released a piece of big news and Stockhouse Bullboard traffic was already heating up. This week, ACB reported even bigger news: starting work on a brand-new 1.2 million square foot cultivation facility, to be located in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

At this time last week, Isodiol International Inc. (CSE: ISOL, OTCQB: ISOLF, Forum) was halted “pending material news”. On April 17, 2018; we learned the nature of this news.

This was a multi-faceted announcement. ISOL has concluded new partnership agreements. It is commencing development of a state-of-the-art cannabinoid processing facility in China. And the Company has added to its “International Management Team”. On April 19, 2018; Isodiol came out with even more news.

Also among our cannabis Bullboard leaders over the past week are more familiar names: Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX: WEED, OTCQB: TWMJF, Forum), Aphria Inc. (TSX: APH, OTCQB: APHQF, Forum), Namaste Technologies Inc. (CSE: N, OTCQB: NXTTF, Forum), and Friday Night Inc. (CSE: TGIF, OTCQB: TGIFF, Forum).

As already noted, markets have been very choppy for many weeks – volatility is back. So over the next week, we have a new poll question for the Stockhouse audience, with this week’s question appearing on the homepage today (lower right).

This week’s poll:

With market conditions currently unsettled, which sector are you most bullish on at the present time?

  1. Cannabis
  2. Energy
  3. Gold
  4. Healthcare
  5. Metals & Mining
  6. Technology

Given the residual enthusiasm from 4/20, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see cannabis come out on top when we report these results next week. For many investors, the most interesting aspect to this week’s poll will be to learn where sentiment is strongest (or weakest) outside of the cannabis space.

Thanks to all Stockhouse users who participated in last week’s poll. We encourage everyone visiting Stockhouse to take part in this week’s poll so that we can provide the most comprehensive response possible for the Stockhouse Community.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Isodiol International Inc. is a paid client of Stockhouse Publishing.
