Buzz on the Bullboards: October 17th Nears, Investors Talk Cannabis

After roughly three years of waiting, cannabis for adult (recreational) use will be fully legalized in Canada at the national level. A cannabis revolution is almost complete.

Stockhouse is closely following this imminent legal and social change – since it also represents additional opportunity for investors. We will be providing our own coverage on the new market in Canada for recreational cannabis.

For this edition of Buzz, however, we once again wanted the focus to be on the thoughts of other Stockhouse investors. Here are some random posts from the six leading stocks on the Stockhouse Bullboards over the week – five cannabis companies and a red-hot mining company.

[Editor’s note: the following posts have been chosen at random and are not intended in any way to be representative of investor sentiment for these companies.]

Starting at the top…

One investor on the Bullboard is wondering if this new listing will affect his TSX shares.

What does this mean for me as an existing shareholder…?

Newbie Question, first post here.

I'm currently a shareholder for Aurora listed on TSX. What if anything does it mean to my shares when/if Aurora is listed on the NYSE?

Thank you.

Royal Nickel Corp. (TSX: RNX, OTCQB: RNKLF, Forum)

Most recent news: 90kg specimen gold slab recovered from Father’s Day Vein Development Area

“We expect that these spectacular specimen slabs will be highly sought after by mineral specimen collectors. With a minimum of 30-35,000 ounces expected from the Father's Day Vein area, the company will be in a substantial net cash position to fully fund its upcoming activities.” – Mark Selby, President and CEO of RNX.

At least one Bullboard investor is wondering why the stock isn’t higher with this recent announcement.

This stock is a gold mine....

Stock being manipulated To keep the price down.....This should be in the high Green today with all the news.

RE:Couldn't take it anymore!

People come people go, I stayed with Canopy up down sideways etc. So they experienced exactly this. Canopy is basically a conglomerate of purchases of fields and greenhouses etc. HUGE is a great and true foundation of indoor hydroponic production it will in Coburg facility have near 4 million square feet of year round production. That's times 2.5 more than any other company production ability or comparable to 10 million square feet of others. It also has in Quebec 120,000 in a food factory of 630,000 square feet when they need is a possibility of growing there. Also Labrador will also be an indoor say 500,000 square footage. So the real result will be very clear to all. The team assembled are in fact I believe mainly made up of multi millionaires who are tops in their fields. I don't believe that these people put their lives on hold to make a few bucks. It wouldn't matter to their lifestyles. Of course they want to make money but more importantly I believe it to be able to leave a legacy. We are just lucky to be fortunate to be able to go along for the ride. One could argue that they could have offered 500 million shares for one dollar. Would that make you feel better. Not me.

RE:RE:Friday

Well, with the divestiture of LHS should push the financials up. But it's not really gonna be the financials that make or break tomorrow, it's gonna be the management discussions. Wait and listen. could provide an update on a equity participant, which if they do provide an update, expect a 5-10% green day. If they mention nothing about it then expect a down day. Financials are still pretty much meaningless at this stage.

Namaste Technologies Inc (TSX: V.N, OTCQB: NXTTF, Forum)

Most recent news: Both shareholder and investor alerts have been put out on Namaste with respect to investor losses.

BuzzOct12_N-(1).png

Certainly this news will be troubling to investors. At the same time, small-cap investing is not for the faint-hearted. Despite some troubled times for Namaste, there are Stockhouse investors who are still standing behind this Company.

What I find exciting....

Think about the number of large LP's that all want to succeed and to do so, require all avenues to market their product. With Namaste seen by them as a 'maybe' to get sales license, there was no need to pursue a partnership although we know talks had happened.

Since the sales license, we have had a quiet period. I do believe that once the financing is closed, we will see a number of strategic partners come on board. They can not see Namaste as anything but a partner to sell their product, and provide good exposure for their many strains.

We are days ahead of some pretty exciting times for Namaste as start firing on all cylinders.

This sector is growing globally at an amazing pace, and Namaste is ready and nimble enough to take advantage of opportunities.

The current market sell off of the general market will benefit our sector as cash will look for the next mover.

Have a great day.

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (CSE: TRUL, Forum)

Most recent news: Trulieve Celebrates Twentieth Location in Florida

Editor’s note: in this case, with success has come some degree of peril. As chance would have it, a hurricane is currently threatening the state of Florida. And so we have a rare Stockhouse “weather alert”.

RE:RE:It’s the hurricane affecting this stock

Two of TRUL's cultivation facilities are in quincy and midway both of which are in gadsden county, in direct path of hurricane michael, if those operations are interrupted due to loss of utilities, flood, employee evacs, will result in less production due to lost grows, potential supply chain disruption for all dispensaries, they may b open, but will have less product for sale, unless TRUL has a big inventory of finished product, then that might cover the disruption until new grows kick in. the filing of notice of prospectus for a future dilutive bought deal doesnt help SP at this time, unfortunate timing.
