Briefly ...

Platinum -- I own a couple of others in the field -- aside from Ivanhoe Mines (TSX: T.IVN, Stock Forum).

See article about Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (TSX: T.PTM, Stock Forum) from Mineweb. PTM is on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. I have owned shares for years and have seen the projects twice.

Also:Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.BTT, Stock Forum) is working on a platinum group metals property in Michigan. See -- www.bitterrootresources.com Highly speculative and yes, I own BTT shares.

Many questions: About the state of Colombia mining and prospecting equities. They are all getting decimated -- from Continental Gold Ltd. (TSX: T.CNL, Stock Forum) on down the metals chain.

Among our TCR 8, lots of queries coming in about Gran Colombia Gold's (TSX: T.GCM, Stock Forum) pulverized shares.

I visited the company two weeks ago in Toronto, and recently, I spoke with the executive chairman. I continue to hold; and there is no danger that note holders (gold or silver denominated from the company's mines) in any scenario can get control of GCM equity, the way I understand it. I expect further market purchases by insiders. I will have more later. Three of the TCR 8 are Colombia prospectors: GCM, Solvista Gold Corp. (TSX: T.SVV, Stock Forum) and Atico Mining Corp. (TSX: V.ATY, Stock Forum). I own shares of each.

In Colombia, shares of Red EagleMining Corp. (TSX: V.RD, Stock Forum) have been hit especially hard. Ian Slater, CEO, calls it baffling. More later.

Uranium

I had a uranium conversation this morning with the folks from Lucky Strike Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.LKY, Stock Forum), part of a four-company Athabasca Basin syndicate, along with Noka Resources. John Adams, founder of Sandspring Resources in Guyana and a uranium pioneer along with his father before him (Utah), is a recent addition to Lucky Strike's board.

If you add up the combined market caps of the four companies syndicate companies that are exploiting properties in the basin, it is less than $20 million. This is a fraction of some of the more visible and fissionable prospectors in the high-grade basin. More on that later. I do not own any of the syndicate companies. On that part of planet uranium, I own shares of Lakeland Resources Inc. (TSX: V.LK, Stock Forum).

Finally: Still purchasing Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bull 2x shares (NYSE: NUGT, Stock Forum) the 3x directional long on gold juniors, on weakness.
