Folks, Thom Calandra has a new product for his TCR family. It is called Blips, and it is NR, as in not rated, largely unedited ... and filled with speed to press. Here are some examples:
TCR BLIPSTERS:American Sands Energy (OBB:AMSE, Stock Forum) is demonstrating its pilot plant for extracting oil from Utah heavy sands. That's in Phoenix later this week.
This latest is from AMSE. It is a board appointment. William Champion's CV has a lot of everything. He is based in Arizona, attended my graduate school alma mater in Tucson five years before I did, and he lived in Utah for five years running Bingham Canyon Copper Mine.
I own the shares, and I know the principals.

TCR Blipsters:Global Hemp Group (CSE:GHG, Stock Forum) is essentially an agricultural start-up and has interests in Africa and other jurisdictions. It is GHG in Canada and on OTC in the USA, GBHPF. Those interested, I have the latest slide deck. I know several of the principals. The company just listed on the OTC QB in the USA. I don't own it.
Some of the same folks from Cabo Verde Capital are involved in Global Hemp. That start-up -- real estate in the west Africa archipelago -- will begin trading on the OTC later this week or early next with the ticker symbol CABO, I am told. The current ticker in USA is WTARD. I don't own it, but early trading might present an opportunity.
TCR Blipsters: This from Mike Carr at Bitterroot Resources (TSX:V.BTT, Stock Forum)(BTT in Canada), which is planning a last-ditch drill effort in Michigan for platinum group metals. I own a metric ton of this.
Thom,
County road load restrictions came off in Houghton County yesterday Monday June 2. We now need to get the road fixed up a bit after some heavy rain, so I am trying to resume drilling late next week.
If not next week, then the following week.
No promises, but we are headed in that direction.
Regards,
Michael Carr
President
Bitterroot Resources Ltd.
TCR Blipsters: This from Chris Ackerman at Wellgreen Platinum (TSX:V.WG, Stock Forum)(WG in Canada). We were going back and forth about the rising platinum price (and palladium) and why platinum equities outside of RSA South Africa are not benefiting from labor unrest. (I do not own WG, but I sure do own a heck of a lot of other platinum equities, and the metal itself via coins and commemorative sets.)
Thom,
The latest CPM precious metals advisory notes that there were huge above ground stockpiles, contrary or at least to a much greater degree than what others seem to believe. That would explain the lack of any sustained and larger move. Even so, post – strike there will be a lot of restructuring and lay offs…could be a train wreck. Looking out past 2014 everyone agrees an upward trajectory is coming. Hopefully people will have learned their lesson re deep SA pt mines by that point.
Regards,
Chris Ackerman
