USO, NOU, LKAI, ANK?

1. LKA Goldwill get more attention in coming days. That starts with the Kinross Gold exploration team that is running rough across 28 of LKA Gold's claims above and surrounding the Golden Wonder Mine in Lake City, Colorado.

LKA's over-the-counter USA-traded shares at 45 cents or so (market value $9 million) make this a middling risk for those who prefer small producers of potent rock -- above one ounce per short ton?. Not easy to find 'em -- the shares or such producers?. I look to boost my ownership, approximately 10,000 shares right now. LKAI in USA is the ticker.?

The Golden Wonder history is something to follow. ?Earlier this year, ?I threw the book at Golden Wonder -- the entire thumb-worn notebook. This is what the research produced: High Grade Rocky Mountain. I hope to see that ?TCR research more widely distributed among north American investors seeking high-grade gold -- as rich, I believe, as the Cripple Creek, Colorado, operation that Newmont Mining is purchasing this year?. LKA to my eyes looks as worthy -- at less than a 10th the market value -- of whatDalradian has in Ireland.

?
2. U.S. Oil Sands is acting well -- the shares and its Utah permitting process? and construction schedule for PR Spring. Oil in tar sands -- extraction with a citrus mix?. USO is the ticker in Canada. I own it. I am unsure if the probable White House denial of the Canada-America Keystone XL Pipeline is another reason why USO is getting traction here. The shares are rising, almost imperceptibly, each day. ?The new CEO, Cameron Todd, tells all who will listen that the PR Springs project is the first in the commercial oil sands business that will NOT have a tailings pond.

This USO is a $120 million market value today vs. half that about two months ago. I have been buying it. I also own a much smaller oil sands developer in Utah, one not nearly as far along as U.S. Oil Sands, which hopes to be producing cheap and clean oil by year's end. We'll see.

3. I am adding to my Nouveau Monde Mining (NOU in Canada -- graphite, etc, in Quebec). If you believe graphite, some ?industrial metals (molybdenum? tungsten? zinc?)?, lithium and the rest of the energy? segment, including uranium, are? set to rebound along with other commodities, I remind you:? we at TCR follow and? own NOU, Texas Rare Earth Resources (TRER in USA) andAzarga Uranium (USA and Asia). A few others outside our gold, platinum, silver triangle as well.?

?Nouveau Monde's NW Quebec graphite project, Matawinie, could see an international "name" attached to ownership of the Canada-traded shares. ?I see the 16-cent Canada shares reaching 25 cents shortly -- maybe in the next two weeks -- with no danger this year of entering fresh and usually destructive financings.

?4. Angkor Gold in Cambodia has a half-dozen incense sticks in the fire. I expect fresh research out on Angkor (ANK in Canada) soon -- not fromthomcalandra.com but from another independent and international concern. In the meantime, neighboring Renaissance Minerals of Australia this week published its pre-feasibility numbers for Okvau in Cambodia. Alan Campbell's small prospector sees about 92,000 ounces of gold coming from the ground there. Okvau has a published resource of 1.1 million ounces at 2.2 grams per metric ton of gold as an average. Here is the report. The pre-production cost for a mine at Okvau is about $120 million -- that is U.S. dollars, not Aussie ones. That's dear these days for Alan Campbell's tiny Renaissance, even against the report's estimated payback of 2.6 years.

Angkor Gold and partner (and now owner) Mesco Consolidated of India put together the Mesco Phum Syarung gold mine with a similar life of mine (about 8 to 10 years) at perhaps 15 percent of that $120 million. That is my estimate. The partners did it in record time; if, that is, the mine gets into production by first-quarter 2016. More property around the Phum Syarung mine -- property owned by ANK -- likely will boost life of mine there and could take metric tons of ore per day to 2,500 daily or more from an anticipated launch of about 500 tpd.

Other incense sticks for Angkor Gold include looming mineral assays on two flagship gold projects: Okalla (pictured above) and Katieng. My theory on those as soon as next week is that any mineral assays from Angkor will help the stock resume its record-setting highs. I own the stock and have seen the drilling and properties numerous times, including three times in the past 8 months.

Angkor Gold also has negotiations ongoing with interested parties for at least three other projects, including copper and moly at its Halo targets in the Oyadao South concession/tenement, copper and gold at Canada Wall (formerly China Wall) in the Andong Meas concession and others. Most are in Ratanakiri Province in NE Cambodia.
