Mogo Announces Blockchain Project & Bitcoin Mining

Click to enlargeVancouver-based financial tech company Mogo Finance Technology Inc. (TSX: MOGO; OTCQX: MOGOF, Forum) announced Tuesday that it has formed a new subsidiary focusing on blockchain development – Mogo Blockchain Technology Inc.
Through an agreement with another Vancouver-based company, DMG Blockchain Solutions, Mogo Blockchain plans to begin Bitcoin mining. DMG will take care of mining hosting (mining as a service, or MaaS) with 1,000 mining machines leased from Mogo and is expected to begin operation by late Q1.

Mogo was in the news recently when it launched it’s MogoCrypto product to allow Canadian consumers to buy and sell Bitcoin through a Mogo account.
