Bringing Blockchain to Video Games

Vancouver-based eCommerce agency The Jibe is taking its working agreement with BlocPlay Entertainment (CSE: PLAY) to the next level.

The Jibe – a Shopify Plus Partner – is designing the eCommerce experience of BlocPlay’s blockchain-based video game distribution app.

In a news release, Jibe COO Steve Krueger stated that blockchain applied within the gaming industry has the potential to disrupt the way players interact with in-game payments.

Beyond eCommerce, the Company also specializes in omnichannel solutions, conversion-centred websites for technology vendors, to productivity tools for cross-functional teams.

This is a multi-phased project with the first major deliverable expected in March 2018.

BlocPlay is entering this agreement through its subsidiary Token Play. It is the first peer-to-peer, decentralized digital entertainment company that supports gamers, developers and content creators.
