True Leaf Getting Ready for the New Cannabis Era in Canada

It has been a very busy 8 months for True Leaf Medicine International Ltd. and the next 4 months will be pivotal for the company.

On track and on budget is the completion of the True Leaf Campus in Lumby, British Columbia, for early October 2018. This will coincide perfectly with the national legalization of cannabis in Canada anticipated on October 17.

In addition, the True Leaf Pet division continues to increase store counts in North America and Europe with sales growning to over $1.4 million in the last year ending March 31, 2018. These results represent a 280% increase in revenue over the previous fiscal year ($368,536) and a 286% increase of fourth quarter sales year over year, from $99,331 to $383,844. Revenue growth was primarily fueled by True Leaf expanding the reach of its True Leaf Pet division to new locations in-store and online. True Hemp™ dog chews, dental sticks, and supplement oils are now sold in more than 1,800 stores worldwide, including in Canada, the United States, and Europe through retailers such as PetSmart Canada, Pets Corner UK, and Amazon.

In May 2018, True Leaf announced to introduce hemp-based cat treats. “We are proud to introduce our first product line for cats to the international pet industry this week at Interzoo,” said Darcy Bomford, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of True Leaf. “True Leaf Pet exists to help pets live happier, healthier lives. We will soon offer millions of cat owners a line of treats that provide the same benefits as our popular hemp-based products for dogs.”

The company has added significant credibility to its Board of Directors through the addition of Sylvain Toutant who most recently served as President and CEO of David’s Tea, Canada’s largest specialty tea boutique, where he was responsible for the company’s growth in Canada, the United States, and around the world.
