PDAC 2020 Highlights
From March 1 - 4, 2020,
Stockhouse Media reported LIVE from the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention floor with interviews, live reports, and news updates from many of the mining industry’s major movers and shakers.
Thousands descended upon Toronto Canada for four days of speakers, short courses, technical sessions, investment opportunities, and unparalleled networking events in the packed halls of the
Metro Toronto Convention Centre. And despite the COVID-19 outbreak, PDAC attendance was only down by about 10 percent from 2019.
This year, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau returned to PDAC making him the first sitting prime minister to appear at the convention for two consecutive years.
Stockhouse obtained an
exclusive interview with Ontario Minister of Energy, Mines, Northern Development and Indigenous Affairs, Greg Rickford, detailing the province’s announcement that they will be developing road access in northern Ontario to service First Nations communities with an eye to expanding the Ring of Fire project. A presentation and forum on the history and future of indigenous mining in Northwestern British Columbia by the Tahltan Central Government was also
covered by Stockhouse.
