Ticker Trax

Bonanza BC Grades: Bravo Venture Group (BVG)

Plus: Animas Speculative Buy (ANI)

SAN FRANCISCO – Bravo Venture Group (TSX: V.BVG, Stock Forum), referenced two weeks ago in our reporting, reports bonanza-grade gold and silver results at Homestake RIdge in Northwestern British Columbia.

Bravo's shares are not one of our 11 Planetary Prospects at Ticker Trax. We follow the company because of longtime work-ethic respect for one of its directors, Robert Swenarchuk of Vancouver. Mr. Swenarchuk purchased shares of the company in recent weeks. (See: Thom Calandra on Stockhouse.)

The intersections came on two zones at the sprawling property: 52 grams of gold, almost two ounces, and about 2,600 grams of silver, or 85 ounces. Per metric ton, of course. The mineral comes across an almost-2 meter interval -- within a 4.8 meter interval averaging 26 grams of gold and 1,358 grams of silver ... and so on. See results on Stockhouse.

We here do not own the shares. But given the growing resource of the property, which also contains zinc and lead, the company's $60 million Canadian market cap is at least 20 percent beneath fair value.

Separately, I will be kicking some rocks at the San Francisco Hard Assets show this coming weekend. Miners (that are not Planetary Prospects of this service) I will be looking at: Focus Ventures (OTO: FCVLF, Stock Forum) of Peru, Fortuna Silver (TSX: V.FVI, Stock Forum) of Peru, Caerus Resource (TSX: V.CA , Stock Forum) of Colombia, Colombia Mines (TSX: V.CMJ, Stock Forum), Houston Lake Mining (TSX: V.HLM, Stock Forum), ECU Silver (TSX: T.ECU, Stock Forum), Paramount Gold (TSX: T.PZG, Stock Forum) ... and two others.

  • Just back from Pediment Gold (TSX: T.PEZ, Stock Forum) in Baja, Mexico. The San Antonio Project there has the elements of a working heap leach mine on a short timeline (two years? fewer?) Geo and VP exploration Mel Herdrick is grooming his Pediment Gold team. More later.
  • As for Mexico: I'll be reporting mas about property rights, water rights, los ejidos and the efforts of Pediment Gold and others, such as John Carlesso's and Grant Hall's tiny Oremex Resources (TSX: V.ORM, Stock Forum) in Durango state, as Canada’s small-fry miners attempt to make peace with the land, l’agua and the people.
  • One other Mexico company that I will be purchasing for specualtive purposes: Animas Resources (TSX: V.ANI, Stock Forum). A Mexico gold and silver land grab already is in full swing. What I know from shareholders of the company is this: Animas Resources just issued an options grant to directors and officers. Drill results on what might become a lucrative mining district in northern Mexico are currently in the lab. If the grades and intersects are off the charts and broad, Animas's $1 Canadian shares could quintuple in short order. That is because the concessions represent what could be an entire gold district unto itself. I will not purchase shares until next week -- in the open market. There is no guarantee this will become a Planetary Prospect. (See the company statement on Stockhouse.)

Please excuse any typos in this brief report.

For now, nos vemos, muchachas y muchachos.
