The Plays are being developed using modern horizontal drilling and completion techniques targeting the Mississippian aged formations and the Woodford Shale itself (which the organic rich source rock for the hydrocarbons in the basin).

William Capp as its new president and chief executive, replacing William Stanton, who had resigned to become a consultant. Capp, who holds degrees in engineering and also an MBA, was most recently president of the Telecommunications Services Group at Bracknell Corp. and had previously been an executive at Ingersoll-Rand Co. Shares in Wilmington, Massachusetts-based Beacon closed unchanged at 88 cents on Nasdaq. Their 52-week high is $10.75 and their 52-week low is 75 cents.
