Manganese X Energy Corp (
TSX: V.MN,
OTCQB: SNCGF,
Forum) today announced near-surface drill results from its 16-hole, 3,589 meter drill program on its Houlston Woodstock manganese property. The project is located in Carleton County, 5km northwest of Woodstock, New Brunswick. Core samples will also be used to conduct upcoming metallurgical testing.
Five of the holes were drilled in the Iron Ore Hill sector of the property and the remaining eleven holes were drilled in the Sharpe Farm – Moody Hill sector. Drilling was testing near-surface targets and did not go lower than approximately 200 meters below surface. Robust intercepts were recorded starting from a depth of only 4 meters below surface.
The drilling targeted a 1.8 km strike length of the manganese/iron mineralization trend. The Company will now refer to the Sharpe Farm – Moody Hill sector as the Battery Hill Deposit.
Highlights of the drilling include
78.90 meters of 11.48% Mn and 19.17% Fe2O3 including 40 meters of 13.90% Mn and 22.61% Fe2O3, 85.50 meters of 11.47% Mn and 19.31% Fe2O3, and 87 meters of 9.35% MnO and 16.54% Fe
2O

The Company was recently in the news when it announced the completion of a diamond drill program at its Houlston Woodstock manganese property as well as the completion of its
final cash payment to Globex Mining on its option agreement.
