I'm a retail ("same day"/swing) trader who trades between 40 and 60 trades a month. I primarily trade from an RSP and secondarily from a TFSA account through a discount broker. I'm convinced the whole marketplace is set up to position the "retail trader" at a disadvantage - Starting with you're very own online discount investing broker! 99% of my stock picks are from the TSX Venture board. I do not make stock recommendations. Those who do, do it out of self interest and prey on others so that they can sell them their stocks in the end and then announce they closed their position. Why else would you tell someone to buy?? As Ayn Rand professed - There is no such thing as altruism. I will on occasion disclose stocks I routinely trade but do not recommend them. Its your job to pick your stocks and develop a trading strategy. My blog includes info on: - Mining and Energy Stocks. - Online trading - Technology - Current events - Books/Music
